Open all year round; the views over Loch Earn to Glen Ample and a 15th century castle are outstanding, offering a unique picture throughout the seasons. Guests can enjoy the view and access to the patio via the floor to ceiling windows and doors in the lounge and in both bedrooms. The cottage is ideal for two couples or a family of four with two bedrooms, both ensuite, separated by the living area for evening privacy.
Briar Steading is a self catering cottage offering 110 sq.m of luxury space with an open plan living area including a fully fitted kitchen with integrated appliances, a dining area and a wood burning stove. The master bedroom has a King Size bed with a travertine gloss tiled bathroom and Mira Sport shower ensuite. The twin bedroom also has an ensuite walk in wet room shower area. The kitchen is cream with soft closing doors housing a washer/dryer, full fridge freezer, dishwasher, ceramic hob, oven, microwave/grill, coffee machine, toaster and ice crusher. The dining area lies beside the kitchen with an ash table and brown leather dining chairs. Cream and brown leather furniture is set up in the lounge to give guests optimum views over the loch. Mixed rosewood coffee tables are placed nearby for comfortable and practical lounging with a flat screen TV that can be turned to suit the viewers. Sky TV is shown in the lounge and master bedroom with satellite TV in the twin room.
There is an iPod docking station plus books, games, DVD’s and tourism leaflets for entertainment. The lounge area and bedrooms are carpeted throughout. The wood burning stove adds character and a cosy glow in winter months. The stove sits on a hearth that was designed by a local stone mason using tradition Achraw and Glen Ample stone. The doors from the lounge lead to a slabbed patio area with garden furniture and a BBQ. Two car park spaces are allocated and there is room for a boat and trailer. Lights come on automatically when entering the main door.The cottage is electric with Dimplex heaters that can be used manually or set on a timer.
Guests are awarded a generous amount of electricity in their holiday rental price. In addition to the garden at the side of the cottage guests can request use of the owners hot tub on the grounds, use the paddock at the rear with a picnic table at the top of the garden, use the loch garden at the front with its slipway, jetty, summerhouse and picnic tables and fish for trout free of charge from March 15th to October 6th. Small boats, canoes or kayaks can be launched and moored too.
