As well as offering top class self-catering accommodation, the estate also has its own informal Golf Course, and we offer reduced golfing rates to all visitors to our accommodation. Visitors to the golf course will find that it offers all the amenities that the less discerning golfer would want. If you don't have room to bring your own clubs we can hire you a set, and we also offer golf car hire to make your round even more relaxing.
The Mill has been awarded a 4 star rating by the Scottish Tourist Board. The cottage has also been given the Accessible Category 2 award, which means that it is accessible to a wheelchair user who is travelling with assistance. This also makes it particularly suitable for elderly visitors.
The Mill has been designed to offer all the amenities that are required to make your stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible, whilst being at the same time environmentally friendly and also maintaining the original character of the building.
The open plan design of the ground floor incorporates a fully equipped kitchen area featuring dishwasher, gas hob, electric fan oven, large frige/freezer and microwave, a dining area with seating for upto 6 people, and a well appointed sitting area which has a widescreen TV, DVD & video player and Sky Plus. Patio doors lead out onto an enclosed south facing patio and courtyard with garden furniture, which is perfect for barbeques or just relaxing in the summer sunshine.
Also located on the ground floor, we have a large double bedroom which has a specially designed ensuite shower room that gives full access for disabled visitors.
There is also a well equipped drying & utility room, which houses a combined washing machine/tumble dryer, and is perfect for changing out of wet/damp outdoor clothes.
The positioning of the kitchen area allows the morning sun to stream into the room, whilst in the evening, the sunset can be viewed from the north/west facing sitting room area.
Upstairs, there are a further two en-suite bedrooms, one twin and one double. Both are large and spacious. The double bedroom contains a king-size bed, with romantic bedside lighting.
